Hey there, my name is Umar, a software engineer who loves to code and rant, sometimes at the same time. This blog is my foobar, where I vent about technology and software development!

As of now, I’m a technical program manager for a globally distributed team. However, I’m also a lead engineer/architect. We build super cool and scalable components that brings joy to millions of people daily.

Throughout my career I have been privileged enough to work with leading system integrators, multinational retailers, unicorn startups and best-in-breed franchises. I’ve been introduced to all parts of the development cycle ranging from storefront integrations to working on core areas like order management systems and payment gateways to management of the entire process.

Aside from software development, I’m super passionate about cyber privacy and cyberethics. In 2018 and after conducting a 12-month research, I got my first book published in this field.
